The Dining Room at Purchase's is now run under the watchful eye of the chef/patron, Neil Rusbridger. Neil who trained at such eminent places as the Chewton Glen Hotel and for Michel Roux at the Waterside Inn is suitably qualified to utilise the local produce and marry them with some more exotic flavours and ideas; creating a really great place to dine. We are very careful to select our suppliers and produce, to ensure traceability and sustainability and do not use imported goods unless absolutely necessary.

The Dining Room additionally offers a delicious range of foods from some great Tapas in our new Tapas @ 31 North restaurant, through to mouth watering Danish Open Sandwiches to more elaborate dishes such as homemade Foie Gras Terrine, lovely plump Irish Oysters, superb local fish, game and of course delectable homemade Sorbets, Ice-Creams and Desserts.

If you are lovers of Caviar, we are definitely your destination! We have teamed up with W.G.Whites, established in 1895 as purveyors of some of the world's finest caviar. We now offer a range from £38.50 to £175 for 100g of the finest Beluga (enough to share with your friends!) To complete your enjoyment, our Caviar prices include a glass of Champagne.

Despite the sadness that after so many generations, Arthur Purchase & Son, who were the city's wine merchants since 1780; have now decided to retire gracefully.

We are still able to offer the same great range of wines and drinks that we always have. Indeed we are now expanding the selection as we form new relationships with other suppliers.
